Tiarne Perkiss is an award-winning groomer, founder of Perky Pooches, Elite Dog Grooming Academy & Perky Luxe, Dogs Australia Groomer of the Year 2024, and a member of Groom Team Australia.
R S Sujay Kumar
R S Sujay Kumar is an animal behaviourist with 12+ years of experience He prioritizes holistic pet care, including grooming. He learned positive reinforcement training at Commando Kennels and certified by Hunde Training Spezialist – Germany. He specializes in low-stress pet handling and aims to teach as many people as possible to make grooming enjoyable for all.
Pasala Jayaraju
Pasala Jayaraju, a dog trainer with 15+ years of experience. He learned positive reinforcement dog training from Philip Butt certified by Hunde Training Spezialist – Germany. Having encountered many pets with coat and skin problems , he decided to study grooming and became one of the top groomers in India. Jayaraju aims to educate groomers to use their skills to create art and produce better results.

Note from Tiarne Perkiss
My name is Tiarne Perkiss, and I’m the proud owner and founder of Perky Pooches Grooming Salon, Elite Dog Grooming Academy, and Perky Luxe. For over 10 years, I’ve successfully run my grooming salon and trained incredible staff who now confidently manage one of Australia’s leading salons.
I’m honored to be a member of Groom Team Australia, the DA National Grooming Team, and the DGS Creative Team. Over the years, I’ve been awarded multiple Best in Show titles, and in 2024, I was recognized as Dogs Australia Groomer of the Year.
Sharing knowledge and helping groomers grow is something I’m truly passionate about. That’s why I regularly speak at grooming seminars across Australia as part of T & Tay on Tour, contribute to iGroomHub, and proudly serve as a faculty member at the Academy of Grooming Arts in India, where I train advanced course students twice a year.
At the Academy, our mission is not only to help you master grooming techniques but also to instill confidence both in you as a groomer and in the animals you work with.
